Suspect arrested in attempted murder of Macomb Township businessman The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in the attempted murder of a Macomb Township businessman. In a joint effort between the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, Warren Police, and the FBI, investigators arrested a 32-year-old man allegedly involved in the attempted murder of gas station owner Eddie Jawad. Security camera video from a neighbor shows the moments officers carried out the raid at a home on Rivard Avenue in Warren at around 5 p.m Sunday. Amazon Web Services outage causes major problems worldwide -- here’s what to know Amazon said its cloud computing service was recovering from a major outage that disrupted online activity around the world. Amazon Web Services provides remote computing services to many governments, universities and companies, including The Associated Press. The first signs of trouble emerged at around 3:11 a.m. Eastern Time, when Amazon Web Services reported on its Health Dashboard that it is “investigating increased error rates and latencies for multiple AWS services in the US-EAST-1 Region.” Around 6 a.m. Eastern Time, the company said that it was seeing recovery across most of the affected services. “We can confirm global services and features that rely on US-EAST-1 have also recovered,” it said, adding that it is working on a “full resolution.” Read more here. Detroit Lions injury report: 4 players out, 3 questionable for MNF matchup vs. Buccaneers The Detroit Lions listed seven players on the final injury report ahead of their Week 7 matchup against the red-hot Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football inside Ford Field. The Lions, at 4-2, are facing a significant deficit on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, as they are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, where officiating and temperament were the talk of the town. Adding insult to the situation are injuries in the secondary as Detroit will enter MNF without both its starting cornerbacks and safeties, which will be a tall task as Baker Mayfield and the No. 1-seeded Buccaneers are expected to get some reinforcements for their 5-1 team. Warren animal control overwhelmed by overcrowding -- How community can help The city of Warren is putting out an urgent call for the community to help with the overpopulation of animals in its shelters. Rocky, a friendly and energetic Pitbull, has spent seven weeks in the kennels underneath the Warren Police Department. Found severely underweight — about 15 pounds under normal — he represents the growing challenge of stray dogs in Warren. Rocky and his kennel neighbor Ace were the only two dogs present during a morning visit to Warren Animal Control. However, the facility’s 10 kennels won’t stay this empty for long. By day’s end, every kennel will be full — a pattern that repeats daily. Read more here.
