Weather: First round of winter weather moves into Metro Detroit by the end of the weekend Chance of rain showers late Saturday night into early Sunday morning, then colder air starts to move into the region as an area of low pressure works south of Metro Detroit. This does look like our first shot of accumulating snow by the end of the weekend and in the early next week. We could see a few inches of snow well Northwest of Metro Detroit, but what actually accumulates on grassy and elevated surfaces will not be much as the ground is too warm to sustain any real accumulation.
