The Seneca Valley Raiders (1-3) travel to Coraopolis Friday night looking to right the ship against the Moon Tigers (2-1) in a nonleague matchup at Moon Tiger Stadium.
The Raiders suffered a 56-13 defeat to Norwin in their league opener last week, while Moon posted a convincing 21-3 road victory over West Allegheny.
Seneca Valley coach Don Barclay will lean on a trio of senior leaders — Vanderbilt commit Adam Gehm at tight end and defensive line, two-way lineman Tommy Wuycheck and versatile running back/linebacker Cayden Parker — as they attempt to avenge last season’s 42-13 loss.
Moon’s offense has found its rhythm behind senior quarterback Andrew Cross, who threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win, including a connection with senior Jayden Revis late in the first half that proved to be all the scoring the Tigers would need.
Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Friday, September 19 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
