Mompush Velo Lightweight Travel Stroller at its best ever price

Mompush Velo Lightweight Travel Stroller at its best ever price

If you’ve ever fan-parented over the Bugaboo Butterfly travel stroller after seeing it in the airport but couldn’t stomach the $599 price tag, the Mompush Velo Lightweight Travel Stroller has serious stand-in potential.
The affordable substitute normally retails for $300 — a whopping $299 less than the Butterfly 2 already — but Amazon is running a 20% off limited-time deal, dropping it to its lowest price at $240.
At first glance, the Velo mirrors the Butterfly 2’s modern aesthetic — from its premium leatherette handlebar to its compact, overhead-bin-friendly fold.
The two strollers feature one-second folding mechanisms, full suspension, IATA-compatible dimensions and generous underseat storage, which make them perfect fits for jet-setting moms and dads. But the designs also feature similarly roomy seats with multiple recline positions and adjustable footrests that every little rider, under the age of 4 years old, can get comfy in.
Despite the savings, the Velo doesn’t skimp on features. It includes a near-flat recline suitable for newborns, a four-panel UPF canopy with water-repellent fabric, rear mesh ventilation and a peek-a-boo window.
Spend $240, and you’ll also get thoughtful extras, like a rain cover, carry bag, seat liner, cup holder and magnetic buckle harness that can make traveling with petite passengers smoother and, dare we say it, a bit less stressful — speaking from experience here.
The Butterfly 2 does offer slightly larger wheels — 6-inch diameter versus the Velo’s 5.5-inch diameter — and a back storage pocket. But for parents prioritizing budget without compromising on style or functionality, the Velo makes a compelling case.
It’s a stroller that looks and performs like a luxury model, just without the luxury markup. Plenty of top marks are flying in from Amazon reviewers, like shopper Robert Duran who shares “So far, very happy with this purchase. It looks like a Bugaboo Butterfly and also performs pretty close to it.”
He goes on to say “I feel like I should’ve paid more for this, and am so happy we waited for Prime Day for a 20% off deal. I totally recommend.”
