Mohsin Naqvi, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, recently shocked the cricketing world with a shameless gesture of running away with India's Asia Cuo and refusing to give it to them. A little more than a month after this shameful incident, Naqvi has got a taste of his own medicine from one of Pakistan's star players, Mohammad Rizwan. In fact, his decision has left the PCB in massive crisis, creating yet another controversy in the Pakistan cricketing circles. According to a report by Samaa TV, Mohammad Rizwan has refused to sign the PCB central contract. This is because the ex-Pakistan captain has asked the PCB to clarify the reason for his constant exclusion from the Pakistan T20I setup. In fact, several other media outlets have stated that he has made multiple demands to the PCB before signing the contract. However, the specifics of those demands have not been disclosed. As per reports, Rizwan is the only player who has not yet signed the central contract. This news comes on the back of Pakistan's humiliating loss at the hands of South Africa in the first T20I of the three-match series. The decision, according to PCB, was made after a meeting in Islamabad between the white-ball head coach Mike Hesson and the selection committee. Rizwan's removal seemed inevitable, after the PCB issued a statement refusing to confirm him as the captain of the series against South Africa. Instead, they revealed that Mike Hesson had requested Mohsin Naqvi to hold a meeting with the selection committee to appoint a new captain. Rizwan's removal was not at the behest of Hesson, as it enjoyed wider backing by some of the top officials of the PCB, according to a report by ESPN Cricinfo.
