The Madras Management Association (MMA) hosted its flagship annual event, the 24th MMA All India Management Students’ Convention 2025, on Monday at the IITM Research Park Auditorium, Chennai. Themed ‘Future Ready – Leveraging AI, Agility & Human Skills to Thrive in a Changing World,’ the convention drew participation from over 1,200 management students representing leading business schools across India. The day-long convention served as a platform for young leaders to engage with industry experts, explore the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the future of work, and understand the evolving role of human skills in an increasingly digital era. The event featured a lineup of distinguished speakers, including Yogi Kochhar, Author and AI Futurist, who in his keynote address emphasized that AI should be viewed as a tool for augmentation and not replacement. Bharat Bala, Indian Film Director, Screenwriter, and Producer, inspired the audience with his creative journey, urging students to pursue passion with purpose. He shared insights from his acclaimed works Vande Mataram and One India, created in collaboration with A. R. Rahman. Four thematic sessions anchored by industry leaders from Uber, TCS, Mahindra & Mahindra, Randstad India, Mercer Consulting, and EY covered key topics around AI. A highlight of the convention was the grand finale of MMA’s flagship student contest, “Chanakya – The Mastermind”, which identifies India’s Best Management Student of the Year. From over 5,000 applicants, 10 finalists competed in two rigorous on-stage rounds that tested leadership, analytical ability, and communication skills. Karthika V, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai emerged as the winner, earning the Best Management Student of the Year 2025 Award along with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000. The Valedictory Address was delivered by B. Visweswaran, Vice Chairman, Sanmar Engineering Technologies, who underscored the importance of continuous learning, responsible leadership, and ethical business practices in navigating a fast-changing global environment.
