Mizzou Softball signs five student-athletes to 2026 recruiting class

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Mizzou Softball has secured five signatures to complete a top-25 class. According to On3, head coach Larissa Anderson inked the No. 23-ranked recruiting class in the country on the first day of the NCAA signing period, adding five players to next year's roster. You can learn more about each of Mizzou's signees in the list below. GRACIE BRITTON The 5-foot-5 catcher and infielder hails from Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri. Britton is a four-time All-State honoree, a three-time Tri-County Conference Player of the Year and an NFCA All-Region selection, who has broke more than a dozen combined single-season and all-time school records, including hits, doubles, home runs, RBIs, walks, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. The Mid-Missouri native also won an 18U AFCS National Championship with Aces Softball, which is a premier Kansas City-based program. “Gracie’s story is what makes this so special. She’s grown up right here in Ashland, surrounded by Mizzou Softball, and now she gets to live out that dream as a Tiger,” Anderson said in a press release. “Graduating early to join us this spring shows her drive and dedication. We’re thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait to see her make an impact in black and gold.” AUDREY CATHEY The 5-foot-6 third baseman/utility player hails from Spring Hill, Tennessee. Cathey is considered a four-star prospect, the No. 4-ranked recruit from the state of Tennessee and the No. 36-ranked player in the nation. She also won a 16U PGF National Championship with the Tennessee Mojo. “We’re thrilled to officially welcome Audrey Cathey to the Mizzou Softball family. Audrey is an incredible competitor who embodies everything we value in our program: toughness, character, and an unwavering commitment to getting better every day,” Anderson said. “She plays the game with passion and purpose, and we believe her energy and work ethic will have an immediate impact on our team culture. We can’t wait to see her grow and represent Mizzou at the highest level.” KATIE GUILLIAM The 5-foot-6 middle infielder hails from Summerville, South Carolina. Guilliam is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 2-ranked player from the state of South Carolina and the No. 56-ranked prospect in the nation. She's also a three-time First-Team All-State honoree, four-time All-Region selection and a Low Country Player of the Year. “We’re thrilled to welcome Katie Guilliam to the Mizzou Softball family. Katie is an incredibly athletic shortstop from South Carolina who plays the game with speed, range, and confidence. She has great instincts on defense and the ability to make difficult plays look routine,” Anderson said. “Offensively, she competes with energy and intent, and her all-around athleticism gives her the potential to impact the game in multiple ways. Katie’s passion and work ethic make her a perfect fit for our culture, and we can’t wait to see her growth at Mizzou.” KATELYNN KNIGHT The 5-foot-8 catcher/third baseman hails from Owasso, Oklahoma. Knight is considered a three-star prospect and the No. 10-ranked catcher in the nation, according to Extra Innings Extra Elite 100. She batted .455 with 17 doubles, 16 home runs and 27 RBIs over 32 games in her senior season. “We’re so excited about Katelynn’s potential in our program. She’s a left-handed hitter who can drive the ball to all fields and a technically sound catcher who takes pride in managing a pitching staff,” Anderson said. “With her drive, competitiveness, and growth mindset, we can’t wait to see how she develops and impacts our lineup.” HADLEY BORDERS The 5-foot-5 outfielder hails from Bowling Green, Kentucky. Borders is rated as a three-star recruit in her class.
