The winners are in for the Kelowna Chamber Business Excellence awards, honouring businesses in the Central Okanagan. With 400 business and community leaders in attendance, the ceremony awarded 17 titles at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort on Thursday, Oct. 30. Troika Development was named the 2025 Large Business of the Year, founded by Kelowna’s first female developer, Renee Merrifield, in 2000. Troika has delivered more than 3,000 homes, developed 1,200 acres of land, and created 300,000 square feet of commercial space from Kelowna to Merrit, Prince George, Edmonton, Regina, and Winnipeg. “Troika is committed to housing diversity, sustainable design, and community building – all thoughtfully designed. Trying to help solve the housing crisis, one home at a time,” says Renee Merrifield, Troika CEO. The theme for the 38th annual awards gala was A Night of Champions, to honour the upcoming Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup coming to Kelowna in May 2026.
