The Ministry commended the team for demonstrating exceptional qualities that brought them this far in the competition. In an official statement on behalf of the Minister for Education, the Ministry highlighted the team’s perseverance, discipline, and unity as key factors behind their success. “This remarkable feat is a shining example of what discipline, hard work, resilience, and above all, teamwork can achieve,” the statement read. The Ministry further noted that every pass, defensive effort, and sacrifice on the field reflected not only a commitment to excellence but also the power of unity and the spirit of Ghana. This achievement, the Ministry said, showcases Ghana’s growing prominence on the world stage and serves as an inspiration to young people across the nation. By reaching the historic final stage, the UDS team has brought immense pride and honor to Ghana. The Ministry applauded the players and coaches for their dedication, stating that their accomplishment signals the country’s potential in global university sports. “The UDS team has shown that when individuals unite around a common purpose, they can lift each other higher and accomplish greatness.” As the UDS team prepares for the final on Sunday, September 28, 2025 against Paulista University from Brazil, the ministry expressed confidence in the UDS team’s chances to win the final and bring home the trophy.
