Millie Bobby Brown Calls Relation With David Harbour 'Really Special' Amid Harassment Claims

Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown has opened up about her equation with her on-screen father, David Harbour, amid reports that she filed a harassment complaint against him. On Thursday night, Brown attended the season five screening of her Netflix show when she shared that the kind of bond she shares with Harbour is “really special”. “I obviously have a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship and we do every scene together. You’ll really get to see that in season 5. It’s been so special to have him along the journey for me,” Brown, who plays the role of Eleven in Stranger Things, told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. Meanwhile, Harbour was also asked about his relationship with Brown, when he said, “Yeah, I mean, you know, I adore her and I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up and become such great artists.” “We’re so nomadic [in this business] that here we get to hunker down with people for 10 years and they grow up in front of you, and you get to watch them go through all kinds of stuff. It’s just been an incredible experience,” he added. Interestingly, this comes days after a report by The Daily Mail claimed that the 20-year-old actress allegedly filed a harassment and bullying complaint against Harbour, who portrays her adoptive father, Chief Jim Hopper, on the hit Netflix series. The report stated that Brown lodged the complaint before the start of production on season five, which wrapped filming in December 2024. “She filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” an insider told the outlet, adding that “there were pages and pages of accusations” and that the investigation “went on for months.” The allegations, however, reportedly did not include any claims of sexual misconduct. The source further alleged that Brown had a representative present on set throughout the filming of the final season to ensure her comfort and safety. Representatives for Netflix, Brown, and Harbour have not responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment regarding the claims. Talking about Stranger Things season 5, the show will arrive on Netflix in three unmissable drops: Volume 1 on November 26 (four episodes), Volume 2 on Christmas (three episodes), and The Finale on New Year’s Eve. At 5 PM PT sharp, the world will unite for one final adventure into the Upside Down.
