Mike Tyson delivers pre-fight promise to Floyd Mayweather as he plans ‘better’ display in return

Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has offered a quite bold prediction for his expected exhibition clash with Floyd Mayweather. Yet to receive an official date for his proposed return to the ring against the undefeated veteran Floyd Mayweather, former heavyweight kingpin Mike Tyson provided an update on when fans can expect the bout. And delving into their decades-long rivalry, the Catskills puncher claimed that while he held no real ill-will toward Mayweather, there is some tension between the two. Hoping to provide a better display in that 2026 return, Tyson vowed to do what 50 other fighters couldn’t if and when he shares the ring with ‘Money’. Mike Tyson confident in knockout call against Floyd Mayweather Revered as one of the most ferocious knockout artists to ever lace up a pair of gloves, Tyson will have to do what no Mayweather opponent of the past has been able to do. Barely touched with heavy shots during his gold-laden career, Mayweather was only ever tagged hard by the likes of Shane Mosley, as well as Marcos Maidana — with the latter taking home a rare souvenir from their clash. However, as far as Tyson is concerned, Mayweather will struggle badly with his power if they share the ring — despite the New Yorker approaching his 60th birthday. “It looks that way, as I anticipated. It looks like he’s (Floyd Mayweather) going to get knocked out,” Tyson told Hard Rock Bets during a recent interview. “It’s [the fight] going to supersede all the fights and all the glory he had before this. This is taking boxing to a new level. Almost ‘God status’.” Mike Tyson wants another shot at Jake Paul Snapping a near-20 year retirement from the ring last November, Tyson entered the boxing world again to fight controversial influencer Jake Paul. And suffering a forgettable unanimous decision over the course of eight rounds against the YouTuber, Tyson admitted he was less than happy with his performance in Texas. However, once his business with Mayweather concludes, the former world heavyweight champion plans to get one back against Paul in the form of a rematch.
