Middleburg Heights Fall Fest returns Oct. 4 with family fun, food and fireworks

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — Fall Fest will return to City Hall Park on Saturday, Oct. 4, bringing a full day of activities, live entertainment and seasonal traditions for families.
The festival kicks off at 1 p.m. with an art walk, inflatables, a rock wall, games, face painting, hayrides, a straw maze, balloon sculpting and a treat trail. Families can also enjoy a petting zoo, food truck alley, dance performances and a family variety show featuring Jungle Bob. The day will end with a concert by Flashback CLE at 5:30 p.m. and a fireworks display after 7:30 p.m.
Karol Germany, Middleburg Heights’ event manager, said the city has seen steady growth in attendance since Fall Fest began.
“Since the first Fall Fest in 2019, the community has expressed their interest in all of our events by showing up in ever-increasing numbers,” Germany said.
She added that the fall-themed activities are designed to highlight the season while creating shared memories.
“Fall Fest is truly a family-friendly community event where you will find young and old together enjoying playful performances, great food and music,” Germany said. “The Hay Wagon Ride is one of the crowd favorites as the wagon travels through the treasure seeking Modern Day Pirates and whimsical Inlet Performers bringing smiles and amazement to everyone on board.”
Germany said her favorite part of Fall Fest is the petting zoo, which features mini horses, llamas, Nigerian dwarf and Nubian goats, hair sheep, and Zebu and Brahma cows.
“The Petting Zoo is my personal favorite, bringing farm animals such as: Mini Horses, Zebu & Brahma Cows, Llamas, Nigerian Dwarf and Nubian Goats and Hair Sheep, to the city absolutely delights the children,” Germany said. “Of course, Trick-or-Treat Trail along the enchanted playground is also at the top of the list. If you are joining us for the first time, be sure to wear your favorite costume and meet us on the treat trail at 2 p.m., where the treats are overflowing. Come early for tantalizing treats and stay for the amazing fireworks show, which is sure to impress kids of all ages with a dazzling display of night sky art.”
This year’s Fall Fest is supported by local sponsors including Aladdin’s, BSE Credit Union, Cleveland Southwest Safety Council and UH EMS, which Germany said help make the event possible for families across the community.
Germany said she hopes families leave the festival with lasting memories.
“Middleburg Heights Fall Fest offers a fun environment for families to connect with friends and neighbors, weaving into the fabric of a stronger community and creating lasting memories in the ‘Middle of Everything,’” she said.
