Michigan church shooting: At least 11 people, including children, were injured in a mass shooting at a Mormon church in Michigan, The Post reported citing sources. The shooting broke out at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, about 50 miles north of Detroit, just after 11 a.m. Sunday, Grand Blanc police said. The Michigan Church was set on fire in the attack, authorities said Sunday.“There’s has been an active shooter at the church of Latter Day Saints on McCandlish Rd. There are multiple victims and the shooter is down,” police said. Authorities said that there was no ongoing threat to the public, but the church was on fire after the attack. Police urged people to stay away from the area.Podcaster shares video on XAnna Matson, a podcaster, posted a video on X showing her at the scene of the shooting. Residents were urged: “PLEASE AVOID THE AREA!!” Further details, including victim conditions, were not immediately released by police.US Attorney General Pam Bondi posted that she is “receiving briefings” and that “FBI and ATF agents are en route to the scene now.”She added, “Such violence at a place of worship is heartbreaking and chilling.”FBI Director Kash Patel said on X the bureau is “tracking reports of the horrific shooting and fire at an LDS church,” and that agents are on the scene to assist local authorities.“Violence in a place of worship is a cowardly and criminal act.
