EXCLUSIVE: Michael McGrady (The Perfect Couple) has signed for a recurring role in Dan Fogelman‘s as-yet untitled football drama for Hulu, starring Christopher Meloni. Created and written by Fogelman, the series is set inside the world of the NFL and has a generational family component to it. McGrady’s role is under wraps, but we hear he’s been cast as a defensive coordinator. Meloni plays the team’s head coach Danny, with fellow series regulars Sam Corlett and Tanner Zagarino as his sons, William H. Macy as the team owner Hank, Mandy Moore and Chloe Bennet as Hank’s daughters, and Chace Crawford as the team’s new General Manager. Omar Epps also will recur. The series, from 20th Television and Skydance Sports, is executive produced by Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal and Kevin Falls. Also executive producing are David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold and Jason T. Reed for Skydance Sports. The casting reteams McGrady and Fogelman. He’ll also be recurring in Fogelman’s hit Hulu series Paradise. He most recently recurred in Chicago PD and was a series regular on Netflix’s The Perfect Couple opposite Nicole Kidman. McGrady is repped by Main Title Entertainment and BRS/Gage.
