While speaking to Entertainment Weekly in October 2025, Fox referenced that during the SNL episode, he starred alongside Chris Rock, David Spade, Adam Sandler, and the late Chris Farley in the sketch, “Not Gettin’ Any: Losers.” The satirical sketch featured five misogynistic men sharing why they think women aren’t romantically interested in them. In the Entertainment Weekly interview, Fox shared his thoughts about his SNL scene partner, Farley, who died in 1997 at the age of 33. “Chris was so great and so sweet and so guileless, and just a great guy. I loved him. He was a big puppy. He was so good, and just so funny,” said Fox to the publication. Michael J. Fox said that he was impressed with how Carvey got his mannerisms down while filming the 1991 SNL episode. “He got so into the physical thing, because I used to do a thing where I’d put my hands in my pockets, do a 360, and leap up on the counter. I never imagined that he’d do it but he got that, he totally nailed it. He really did. I love Dave a lot, but I really loved Dana’s impression,” said Fox to Entertainment Weekly. Sandler spoke about his SNL performance in honor of Farley in a July 2019 interview on Conan O’Brien‘s talk show, CONAN. Sandler explained the moment was quite powerful because he couldn’t help but reminisce about his time working with Farley on SNL. “When I was singing the song I looked out, and I was getting misty just because all the nice memories we had together in that studio. A lot of the crew was the same crew from 25 years earlier that hung out with Farley,” said Sandler to O’Brien.
