The official “December in GH” 2025 Calendar has been unveiled, highlighting approved activities scheduled throughout the festive season. Since its inception in 2019, “December in GH” has become a cornerstone of Ghana’s tourism strategy, attracting thousands of visitors each year and strengthening Ghana’s international reputation as a destination of warmth, creativity, and unity. Published under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has been compiling the list of events to mark the official commencement of Ghana’s festive end-of-year calendar, one of Africa’s most vibrant celebrations of culture, music, and heritage. Present to give political gravitas to the event were the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Mr Julius Debrah, the Hon. Minister of Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts, Madam Dzifa Gomashie, the coordinator of the Black Star Experience Secretariat at the Office of the President, Mr Rex Omar, and the Chief Executive Officer of GTA, Mrs Efua Houadjeto. Emphasizing the vital role of the creative community in sustaining Ghana’s tourism renaissance, Mr Rex Omar noted that the “Black Star Experience” platform continues to develop as the heartbeat of “December in GH”, connecting global audiences with authentic Ghanaian stories. “Our mission is to curate experiences that go beyond entertainment, to celebrate identity, creativity, and connection,” Mr. Omar stated. The launch of the calendar begins the campaign to promote the 2025 end of year festivities.
