Micah Parsons Suffers Injury Scare in Packers-Cowboys Game

There was a lot of build-up heading into Sunday’s highly anticipated showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. Much of the attention centered on Micah Parsons, who made his return to AT&T Stadium for his first game against the Cowboys following his high-profile offseason move to Green Bay.
Once all the pregame hype died down, it was time to get to business. Parsons was a force for the Packers’ defense as he went up against his former teammates. The two-time All-Pro linebacker registered two assisted tackles as he did all he could to hold down Dak Prescott and Dallas’ offense.
Unfortunately for the Cowboys, Parsons was forced to exit the game in the third quarter due to a back injury, according to the broadcast. The Packers star headed to the blue tent to have himself checked.
It is worth noting that Parsons has been dealing with a back issue since joining the Packers. The 26-year-old has been nursing the injury since the preseason, although he did not carry an injury designation heading into the Cowboys game. Nevertheless, the back issue has impacted his usage rate, with the Packers needing to limit his snaps throughout the first few weeks of action.
The good news for Green Bay is that Parsons was able to return in the fourth quarter. The Packers will need him to finish this one out, given how close this matchup has been. As of writing, Dallas holds a slim 30-27 lead with less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
It appears that this was nothing more than an injury scare for Parsons, but his back issue is still worth monitoring, especially after the game.
