Miami Heat Injury Report (Nov. 3): Latest Update on Norman Powell's Status For LA Clippers Game

The LA Clippers welcome the Miami Heat to the Intuit Dome on Monday for what could be dubbed the “Norman Powell revenge mission.”Powell's time with the Clippers came to an abrupt end when he was traded to the Heat after the team decided against giving him a contract extension. He has, however, shone brilliantly for his new team. The veteran averaged 24.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 47.7% from the field in his three games before going down with a groin injury. He added much-needed depth to a Heat team that’s quietly going about its business.Norman Powell’s status for Monday’s game is still up in the air, though reports suggest he’s hopeful of being fit in time. It remains to be seen whether he can shake off the issue and suit up for the clash. He missed three games, including the 130-120 loss to the LA Lakers on Sunday. His absence was duly felt, as the Heat went 1-2, struggling to create shots and attack the driving lanes. If, as hoped, Norman Powell is available, it would be a significant boost for Erik Spoelstra as he looks to get his team back in the win column. There has been no question that Miami's offense this season has been anything but creative. After years of mediocrity, where they ranked as top five slowest-paced teams, they were finally able to find a formula to run a more free-flowing, motion-based offense, which has been a breath of fresh air.Other than Norman Powell, the Heat are set to be without Tyler Herro (left ankle surgery), Kasparas Jakucionis (right groin strain), and Terry Rozier (leave) for the game. How To Watch Miami Heat vs LA ClippersThe Miami Heat vs. LA Clippers game will tip off at 10:30 PM ET on Monday at the Intuit Dome in California. The Heat don't have the best of records when playing the Clippers, winning three games in the last five years.
