The Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors renewed their rivalry on Monday at the Chase Center. The Warriors entered the game after suffering their first defeat, while the Grizzlies arrived beaming with confidence after a solid victory against the Indiana Pacers.Golden State went back to its smaller lineup, with Steph Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Jimmy Butler, Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green starting the game. On the other hand, Ja Morant led the Grizzlies' starting lineup, with Jaren Jackson Jr., Jaylen Wells, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Jock Landale being the other starters.The Warriors landed the first punch and jumped to a 25-15 lead with 6:02 to play in the first quarter. Golden State's ball movement was spectacular as the team had eight assists on 10 made baskets. Steph Curry made three quick baskets and led the Warriors' offense during the early part of the game.The Grizzlies responded with a fierce 12-0 run, ignited by their relentless defense. Ja Morant (10) and Jaren Jackson Jr. (7) combined for 17 first-quarter points to help Memphis take a 37-36 lead into the second period.The Warriors' offense was humming in the second period. Jimmy Butler led the charge with 15 points at half time. Steph Curry and Jonathan Kuminga had 11 points each. Golden State had 18 assists on 21 made baskets and also knocked down 10 triples.
