‘Memory Walk’ held in Mysuru to mark World Pharmacists Day

World Pharmacists Day 2025 was celebrated in the city on Thursday to recognise the significant contribution of pharmacists in the health sector.

The theme of the day was ‘Think Health, Think Pharmacist’, which underlines the role of pharmacists in building healthier communities.

The event was conducted by the Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy (SVCP), in association with the Alzheimer’s Related Disorders Society of India, Mysuru chapter.

A ‘Memory Walk’ was also held to mark the occasion. Organisers said that the objective of the walk was to make the public think and reflect on the message, and “remember those who cannot remember”. The theme of the walk was ‘Ask about Dementia, Ask about Alzheimer’s’.

The walk, it was announced, was not merely symbolic, but a move to create greater empathy and awareness about dementia among the public.

R. Dinesh, secretary, Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions; Hanumanthachar Joshi, principal, SVCP; and others were present.
