MeitY Launches Platform To Train Students In AI, Cybersecurity, Data Science & Semiconductors
New Delhi, Oct 1 (KNN) Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, will inaugurate the NIELIT Digital University (NDU) platform tomorrow in New Delhi.
The digital initiative aims to democratise access to high-quality education in emerging technologies.
The launch will also include the virtual inauguration of five new NIELIT Centres at Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Balasore (Odisha), Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Lunglei (Mizoram), and Daman (Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu).
The NDU platform is designed to equip students with future-ready skills through industry-focused programs in niche technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Semiconductors, and allied fields.
With flexible digital learning modes, virtual labs, and collaborations with leading industry partners, the platform aims to bridge the skill gap in the digital economy.
The event will also feature a panel discussion on ‘Role of AI in Digitisation of Education’, a felicitation ceremony for top-performing students from the DevSecOps course conducted jointly with Kyndryl, and the signing of MoUs to strengthen academia-industry collaboration.
Over 1,500 participants, including NIELIT students from across India, academicians, and technological experts, are expected to attend.
NIELIT, an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has 56 centers, over 750 accredited institutes, and more than 9,000 facilitation centers, and has certified millions of students in emerging technologies across the E&ICT domain.
