Meghan Markle Shows Archie and Lili’s Growth in New Family Video

Key Points Meghan and Harry shared family pumpkin patch outing photos with Archie and Lilibet. They value their children’s privacy, influenced by their own childhoods and divorced parents. Meghan anticipates missing her kids when they grow up: “I’ll miss them so much.” Meghan Markle and Prince Harry enjoyed a picture perfect fall outing with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, posted an Instagram video of the family at a pumpkin patch on Sunday, October 26. In the montage, Archie, 6, ran through a corn maze, and Lili, 4, rode in a wagon pulled by Meghan. Harry, 41, and Meghan also held hands as they watched Archie check out the pumpkins. The foursome then returned home to carve their pumpkins into smiling jack-o’-lanterns. Meghan captioned the video, “Happy Sunday,” adding a pumpkin emoji and an orange heart emoji. Oops! Lili later joined the family in June 2021. The couple have kept their children out of the spotlight since their royal exit in 2020, rarely sharing glimpses of Archie and Lili with the public. While Harry and Meghan prefer to maintain their kids’ privacy, they explained in their 2022 Netflix docuseries how their own childhoods influence their approach to parenting. “What’s most important for the two of us is to make sure that we don’t repeat the same mistakes that perhaps our parents made,” Harry said. “There’s so much I think from anyone’s childhood that you bring with you into the present,” Meghan added. “Especially when you’re the product of divorce.” Both Harry and Meghan grew up with divorced parents. King Charles III and Princess Diana wed in 1981 but separated in 1992 when Harry was 8. The royals finalized their divorce in 1996, and Diana died one year later at age 36 following a car accident in Paris. Meghan’s parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, were married from 1979 to 1987, though they actually split when Meghan was 2. While her own motherhood journey is still in its early stages, Meghan is already dreading the day that Archie and Lili leave the nest.
