Meghan Markle will return to acting after eight years (Picture: KOLA SULAIMON/AFP via Getty Images) Meghan Markle will make her acting return after giving up Hollywood when she married Prince Harry, eight years ago. The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly going to play herself in Close Personal Friends, alongside Lily Collins, Brie Larson, and Jack Quaid. After leaving the royal bubble, Harry and Meghan have carved a life for themselves in the US, creating podcasts, cooking shows and more. Now, Meghan, 44, has been spotted on a Los Angeles set, according to The Sun, for the first time since exiting Suits in 2017. A source told the publication: ‘This is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves.’ They claimed she had been ‘swamped with offers’ but was waiting for one which felt ‘right’. Prince Harry is, of course, really supportive and quite simply wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy.’ Before marrying Harry, Meghan was best known for her role in the long-running series Suits as Rachel Zane. Speaking on a podcast recently, Meghan revealed she ‘sometimes’ still misses acting and was sad to not say a proper goodbye to her Suits family. ‘It was such a unique time, because we couldn’t say that I was leaving, necessarily,’ she said on Aspire with Emma Grede. ‘It was speculated. ‘So, after seven years on the series, we couldn’t have a going away party. I couldn’t say my goodbyes … If my crew’s watching, I miss you guys. I wish I could have said bye.’ Metro has reached out to Meghan’s team for comment. Got a story?
