Kim Kardashian is making headlines for quietly removing Meghan Markle from a recent Instagram post — but how long has the former duchess been keeping up with the Kardashians? Neither Meghan, 44, nor Kim, 45, have spoken publicly about a friendship between them, but eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice Meghan’s attendance at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday — especially when Kim appeared to delete a photo with Meghan from her Instagram post from the bash. The images, posted on Monday, November 10, showed the Duchess of Sussex posing alongside Kim while Prince Harry stood in the background. Shortly after they were published, the image with Meghan appeared to disappear with no explanation. Us Weekly has reached out to Team Sussex and Kim’s reps for comment. One of the first connections between Meghan and the famous family was reported in May 2023 when Meghan had hired Kim’s former bodyguard. The Sun published photos at the time of Meghan with a man, who had previously been spotted as part of Kim’s security team. (They also shared personal trainer Tracy Anderson and hairstylist Michael Silva at one point in their careers.) By August of that same year, it appeared that Kim had another link to the Duchess of Sussex. The Skims founder and Jenner were spotted at an event in Los Angeles chatting and posing for photos with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland. Jenner offered an inside look into her friendship with Meghan just ahead of As Ever’s official launch this past March. Jenner posted a photo of the goodies she received from the company at the time. “I can’t wait to try every single thing!” Jenner captioned an Instagram Story at the time. “I’m so excited!!!!” Khloé Kardashian also hinted at her friendship with Meghan through As Ever products. The Good American founder, 41, posted a photo of a basket filled with As Ever goodies and fresh vegetables this past August. Meghan shared the photo, adding the caption: “Hey hey all my girls with a K.” Meghan also has several mutual friends with the Kardashian-Jenner family — including Serena Williams, Ellen DeGeneres and Chrissy Teigen — which also might explain their bond. Teigen, for one, has made guest appearances on both Keeping Up With the Kardashians and With Love, Meghan. The model’s friendship with Meghan goes way back, since they were both on Deal or No Deal together during the early days of their careers. “I feel like our lives have had so many chapters, and that one being a really important, funny one,” Teigen said during one of the Netflix’s show’s August episodes. They hadn’t seen each other in “almost 20 years,” until filming for the lifestyle series. “I remember basically being a backup girl [on Deal or No Deal],” Teigen said during the episode. “Then becoming the alternate, then becoming the banker.” Meghan recalled Teigen’s success after the show as they chatted. “I left that show and then just a year or so later you got famous,” Meghan said. “I was like, ‘Oh my, God, she’s on the cover of Sports Illustrated. She was just sitting back there in a little chair waiting.’ You were so sweet.”
