On the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Friday, members of the Patel family came together at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat's Kevadia to pay homage to the Iron Man of India, the first such reunion at the monument. On the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Patel's 182-metre-tall statue, near Ekta Nagar, in the morning and paid his respects by offering flower petals.
