Medina school board members-elect share thoughts with voters

MEDINA, Ohio – Board of Education member Jeanne Pritchard will retain her seat and newcomers Victoria Druley and Aaron Hair will join the school board early next year. According to final but unofficial results from the Medina County Board of Elections, Pritchard received 6,804 votes (29.22 percent) in the race for the Medina Board of Education. Druley received 6,173 votes (26.51 percent) and Hair received 5,880 votes (25.25 percent). Candidate Aidan Haggard received 4,432 votes (19.03 percent). “I want to thank voters for believing in me and to please contact me with any questions,” Pritchard said. “The major focus for the next four years will be financial and dealing with the state budget. I do not want to see a levy on the ballot for four years or more so we will have to tighten our belts and help our property owners.” Druley expressed gratitude to voters for trusting her to serve. “I’m grateful for the chance to give back to a community that means so much to my family,” she said. “I’m looking forward to working with fellow board members, staff and families and diving into the results of the strategic planning survey to learn from our community about what is working well and where we can grow together for our students.” Hair said he is also grateful to voters for putting their trust in him. “This campaign was about listening to our community and focusing on practical solutions,” he said. “Supporting our teachers, maintaining our facilities and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. I’m looking forward to working with my fellow board members and our dedicated educators to address the challenges ahead. Thank you to everyone who supported me. I’m ready to get to work.”
