Medina City Schools prepares for launch of new website

MEDINA, Ohio – With the official launch planned for Sept. 22, the Medina Board of Education had the opportunity to get a preview of the district’s new website.
“We have been working on this for quite some time,” said Amy Busby, community relations director for Medina City Schools. “I wanted to provide the board and the community with a sneak peek and we are keeping our fingers crossed that all goes well for Monday. We have drone footage of all our buildings which gives us a unique look. I think one of the things I hope you will notice is it will be very easy for parents to access ProgressBook and it will be easy to get to the page for each of our school buildings.”
Busby pointed out that by using the dropdown box, users will be able to access pages for each of the school buildings including Helping Hands Preschool and Evolve Academy. Information about the district’s social media can be found on the top of the page and users can easily find links to each department in the district including the superintendent’s office, assistant superintendent, Medina TV, the performing art’s center and Medina City Schools Foundation. Users can easily access information about student registration and can pull up information about additional resources for parents, students, staff and military families.
“We will also have information available about athletics and bus routes so people can track their students’ bus,” she said. “There is also information about employment, forms, school menus and the Safe School Helpline as well as volunteer information and information about registration.”
After listening to feedback from community members, Busby said users will also be able to access calendars from each school building in one central location.
