The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the choice-filling window for NEET PG Round 1 counselling to offer admissions to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Candidates who cleared the entrance exam can fill in college and course preferences through the official website: mcc.nic.in. NEET PG counselling 2025 commenced after a prolonged delay due to the following reasons: Delays in approvals for new medical colleges and in increasing the seat matrix for PG courses.A pending court case pertaining to the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea.Administrative obstructions such as delays in finalising a confirmed seat matrix, coordination between authorities, and more. Now, MCC has released the NEET PG 2025 seat matrix for AIQ, central internal quota, deemed universities, and final DNB on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Approximately 1.28 lakh candidates cleared the NEET PG 2025 out of 2 lakh participants. After months of postponement, MCC has finally kick-started the counselling process. SC Yet to Hear NEET PG 2025 Transparency Plea However, the Supreme Court is yet to hear the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea, which has been stuck in court for over a month now. Earlier, the apex court directed NBEMS to submit a detailed response within two weeks, and the case was scheduled to be heard thereafter. However, there is no update from SC as of now. Moreover, the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association India (FORDA) penned a letter to the Health Ministry asking to speed up the admission process, indicating a shortage of resident doctors in hospitals across the nation.
