Max Verstappen has put forth a great resurgence in performance in the latter half of the 2025 season. Despite a massive slump, the Dutchman has seemingly returned to his winning ways and is on a two-race win streak. With the Singapore GP up next, Verstappen doesn’t have any wins recorded at the Marina Bay Circuit yet, but he hopes to turn the stats around at the upcoming race weekend.
Max Verstappen’s start to the 2025 season was decent enough as he picked up two coveted race wins early on. However, mid-way through the year, Red Bull suffered from a dismal performance slump, and Verstappen even gave up on championship hopes.
However, after winning two races back-to-back, the Dutchman is now seemingly back in the mix for the driver’s title by the end of the 2025 season. As such, the four-time champion ponders over his chances to succeed at the upcoming Singaporean GP.
The Marina Bay Circuit of the Singaporean GP is considered to be one of the toughest, if not the toughest, circuits to excel on for a driver. On top of this, there is a heat wave warning over the race weekend, which will make it all the more difficult for Max Verstappen to achieve his maiden victory on Singaporean soil.
Despite the difficult conditions, Verstappen isn’t writing off his chances to win and is hopeful of a positive outing over the race weekend. Speaking of the upcoming race weekend, Max Verstappen insisted that the Marina Bay Circuit is a cool circuit to drive on, albeit a difficult one.
Verstappen acknowledged that he was yet to emerge victorious on the circuit as he looked ahead to finish the ‘unfinished business’ on the Singaporean soil. The Dutchman further explained that Red Bull needed a strong team performance, and he was looking forward to the race and excelling against the rivals.
It is a cool street circuit to drive, but of course, I have never won there, so you could say there is unfinished business, We need a strong team performance, so looking forward to what the week brings.
