While appearing in a YouTube interview with renowned vlogger Zubeda Byantalo, Maureen revealed that she once owned a butcher business, an idea she took up after being advised by a close friend. According to the singer, everything started well until things took a bad turn when her worker allegedly stole her property and capital, leading to the collapse of the business. “I was encouraged by a friend to start a butcher business, which I did. But unfortunately, it didn’t last long because I was cheated by my worker, and everything I had invested was lost,” Maureen shared. Despite the challenges, Maureen Nantume has continued to shine in Uganda’s entertainment scene. She is celebrated for her long-standing contribution to the music industry, offering timeless songs that have inspired many. Meanwhile, the singer is gearing up for her upcoming concert dubbed “My Story”, which will take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday, November 21, 2025. We will keep you posted
