Collector A.K. Kamal Kishore on Sunday inaugurated a ‘Mathi Angadi’ building, a new marketing facility aimed at promoting products made by women self-help groups across the district, at Courtallam.

Located near the popular Courtallam falls, the facility is expected to attract both local and tourists, given the area’s high footfall throughout the year.

Mathi Angadi will offer a wide range of items including millet-based food products, palm leaf products, nightwear, cotton sarees, artificial jewellery, bamboo crafts, dresses and other decorative products. The initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs by providing them with a common platform to showcase and sell their handmade goods.
