Matheus Cunha sent a heartfelt message to Bruno Fernandes following Manchester United's 4-2 win over Brighton . The game came as Fernandes' 300th appearance for the club. The Portuguese attacking-midfielder, who became a Red Devil in February 2020 after a £47million plus add-ons deal from Sporting CP , has since become an Old Trafford legend. Fernandes has netted 100 goals and provided 87 assists thus far, helping United lift two major trophies. The 31-year-old marked his 300th game with a stellar performance, leading United to a comfortable win over Brighton . It came as the Red Devils' third consecutive win, with Fernandes controlling the midfield masterfully. After the match, Fernandes took to Instagram to commemorate his milestone, saying: "Celebrating 300th in the best way [raising hands emoji]," alongside several snaps from the game. Cunha responded to his team-mate's post on his own Instagram story, writing: "300 capi," accompanied by two clapping emojis, reports the Manchester Evening News . Several other United players, including Bryan Mbeumo , Ayden Heaven, Amad Diallo , Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt , also left comments on Fernandes' post, congratulating him on his milestone. As for the match itself, United took an early lead with goals from Cunha and Casemiro . Mbeumo extended the lead just after the hour mark. Danny Welbeck and Charalampos Kostoulas managed to pull two back for Brighton, but Mbeumo's second goal sealed the 4-2 victory for the Reds. Reflecting on his team's victory over Brighton, Ruben Amorim said after the match: "I feel good. I think we played well but we suffered in the end, a little bit, our fault in the way we conceded the first goal. "You can sense that, in that time of the game, we are near the fourth goal, not to suffer one. But they did everything. They run, they play with the ball, they kept the ball when it was needed. So it was a good game. "You have the game under control and then you suffer a goal. And then we suffer a little bit. They have a lot of talent. "They have a lot of quality with the ball and they control that and they use that momentum to control the game. But we are improving in the way we respond to bad moments, and today, we did it again. "We respond a little bit better and that's really important. We know how to suffer. If we suffer together, it's so much easier to win games."
