Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Early Gameplay Emerges Online

In March 2024, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was officially revealed alongside a cinematic story trailer that immediately got fans excited and clamouring for more. This all-new title comes from Skydance Games and explores a timeline rarely seen in the Marvel Universe (outside of projects like Captain America: The First Avenger).

Recently, early gameplay footage of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was found and circulated online, showcasing developing gameplay that has yet to be officially unveiled.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is Still Delayed

In May of this year, Skydance Games announced a lengthy delay to Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, pushing the game’s launch window back to early 2026. That could now force the title to contend with the likes of Grand Theft Auto 6, which is an ambitious goal indeed.

When delaying the game, the team said:

Taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience, and one that lives up to our vision.

In an all-new report, MP1st has apparently dug up some gameplay footage from Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, attributing it to being ‘posted by a developer who worked on the game.’ It’s admittedly as vague as it gets, as even a specific date for when the content was posted couldn’t be provided, but it’s assumed to be at least two years old.

Here’s the clip from MP1st:

There’s not a heck of a lot to take away from this clip, aside from some comments about the setting, style, and approach to the gameplay, all of which have almost certainly changed by now.

In addition, a dozen screenshots were also shared, exploring destruction elements, other areas of the game, some stealth mechanics, and lighting and visuals. It appears that there will be a neat juxtaposition of sorts, with Black Panther playing the agile, stealthy character, while Captain America is likely to take on the role of the hard-hitting powerhouse.
