The reinsurance division of Miller, the independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed Marlon Williams as a senior broker in its Bermuda office.
The division, AHJ Miller, noted that with over 20 years of experience spanning insurance, reinsurance, catastrophe modelling and international property catastrophe underwriting, Mr Williams brings a wealth of expertise to the firm.
A Miller statement said: “Before joining AHJ Miller, he spent five years at Hiscox Re and Insurance-Linked Securities as a senior underwriter, where he led international property catastrophe underwriting and developed deep expertise in retrocession. This followed 15 years in the catastrophe practice at Markel Bermuda.
“Marlon entered his new role in September 2025 and reports directly to Charlie Simpson, head of Miller Bermuda. He will focus on the placement of reinsurance and retrocessional business into the Bermuda market, with responsibility for new business generation and strengthening AHJ Miller’s property cat capabilities as the broker expands its reinsurance offering on the island.
