Marcus Rashford has shown his true colours for Barcelona after bagging a brace in their Champions League 6-1 thrashing of Olympiakos. The out-on-loan Manchester United forward scored twice in the second half, and won a penalty, which Lamine Yamal confidently converted. Rashford is now level with Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe in goal contributions in the competition so far during the 2025/2026 season. Mbappe has five goals, while Rashford has four goals and one assist. Meanwhile, Fermin Lopez scored a hat-trick and Ayoub El Kaabi netted a consolation goal. Taking to Instagram, Rashford shared a series of pictures from the game and, also, posted some positive words. "Amazing night at home," he wrote. "What a TEAM!! Visca Barca." That post prompted responses from Lopez, who wrote: "Weapooon," followed by three fire emojis while fellow teammate Roony Bardghji added: "Rashyyy," with a kiss and heart emoji. On his Instagram stories, the England star also sent Lopez a simple message. In that, he posted a picture of them together along with football and applause emojis. Rashford has enjoyed a early impact at the Camp Nou since his loan move from United. After quickly adapting to Hansi Flick's style of play, he has already expressed his desire to stay at Barcelona “for as long as possible.” "I want to stay as long as possible at Barcelona," he previously told TNT Sports . "I have to focus on doing my job, helping the team in any way I can. "I can feel the confidence that Flick has given me. I knew he was great before I signed, but working with him is a real pleasure."
