Maranatha courts  MSCE top performers to dinner

With the promised Victoria Falls trip still on the horizon, Maranatha Academy is not letting its top achievers go unnoticed. Tonight, the spotlight falls on Blantyre as the academy treats the country’s best-performing MSCE students to a special celebratory dinner at Crossroads Hotel.

The event, hosted by Maranatha’s Managing Director, Ernest Kaonga, will bring together stellar performers who secured six to eight points in the 2025 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations. It is set to be an evening of recognition, pride, and inspiration.

“Academic success deserves to be celebrated in style,” Kaonga remarked ahead of the event.

“While we finalise arrangements for the Victoria Falls trip, we wanted to take this moment to acknowledge the remarkable effort and discipline shown by our top students. Tonight is about celebrating their hard work and encouraging others to aim for the same,” added Kaonga.

The dinner, described as a ‘night of stars’, will feature not only Maranatha achievers but also other high performers from across Malawi. It underscores the academy’s growing role in promoting excellence beyond its own classrooms.

Parents and guardians have welcomed the initiative, noting that it keeps the excitement alive as students await the bigger adventure. One parent, Smart Phiri, said: “This gesture shows commitment. It reassures both parents and students that Maranatha is serious about rewarding excellence. Tonight’s dinner is a big motivation for our children.”

Maranatha Academy has consistently ranked among Malawi’s top ten private institutions, combining academic discipline with innovation in rewarding student success.

According to Kaonga, Victoria Falls trip remains firmly on the agenda, but for now, Blantyre will shine a little brighter as Malawi’s brightest students bask in the glow of their achievements.
