At the full-time whistle, there was a feeling of what could have been for Manchester United. The Red Devils were the better side against Nottingham Forest over 90 minutes, but left The City Ground with a 2-2 draw. Manchester United dominated possession at 59 percent, totalled 462 passes compared to Forest’s 275. Ruben Amorim’s men recorded 15 shots, six of which were on target. The vast majority of United supporters will feel that Saturday’s result was a massive missed opportunity to climb the Premier League table. Casemiro sent the Red Devils in front with a headed effort in the 34th minute. After grabbing a 1-0 lead, Manchester United should have been able to see out a victory against 18th-placed Forest. United would concede two goals within the first five minutes of the second half. Morgan Gibbs-White headed in an equalizer in the 48th minute. Two minutes later, Nottingham Forest were ahead 2-1 thanks to Nicolo Savona poking in a loose ball in the box. “We had five minutes where we disconnected but we controlled our emotions and continued to play,” Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim told NBC Sports. “We dropped our energy levels. You can feel it when our team is not on top. We had a big opportunity at the end but we missed that little bit of luck.” Diallo Scores Late Wonder Goal Amad Diallo would score a worldie in the 81st minute to even the match at 2-2, but all that did was spare United’s blushes on the day. Tottenham and Chelsea both sit ahead of United in the table and are battling for top four spots. Man United only trails the pair by goal difference. United are now unbeaten in four league matches. Their supporters hope that the good run of form continues throughout November, with meetings against Spurs, Everton and Crystal Palace to close out the month.
