Man slapped with 4 years in prison after enjoying 1 round of lula lula with his brand new girlfriend at railway line

Regional Magistrate, Judith Zuyu has slapped a Mwenezi man with a four year jail sentence for having sexual intercourse with a minor.
The man (20) will effectively serve three years behind bars after a year was suspended on condition of good behaviour for a year.
Magistrate Zuyu changed the charge from rape to having sexual intercourse with a minor after noting that evidence submitted by the State pointed to accused having consensual intercourse with the minor.
The incident happened on August 3, 2025, around 2pm in Mwenezi.
Circumstances are that the convict met the minor near Rutenga on her way home from collecting some money from father at the business centre.
The man proposed love to the minor who accepted and he began escorting her home. After walking a short distance, the two went to the railway line where they had sexual intercourse.
Accused gave the minor his mobile phone as a promise to marry her before they had sexual intercourse. He escorted the minor home after the act.
The matter came to light two days later when the convict went to the girl’s homestead demanding her mobile phone.
