A man is in hospital with 'potentially life-threatening injuries' after being hit by a car in Bolton . Emergency services rushed to Moor Lane at around 4.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, October 21) after reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a man aged in his 20s, was rushed to hospital from the scene by paramedics. Police have described his injuries as 'serious and potentially life-threatening' in a statement issued today. Last night, officers from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) were pictured carrying out investigations within a cordon on the road. Moor Lane was closed off from the junction with Derby Street and Trinity Street up to the junction with Spa Road and Deansgate Road. Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash, or anyone who has any dash cam footage. A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 4.30pm on Tuesday 21 October 2025, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian on Moor Lane, Bolton. "Emergency services attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.
