A man has been charged with a sexual assault offence following an incident at a Kilkenny filling station. Sergeant Morgan O’Connor told Kilkenny District Court that the incident occurred on June 12, 2023. The assault occurred at a large filling station in county Kilkenny. The injured party told gardaí that the man approached them from behind, pushed a can of Monster soft drink against their bum and said “can I stick my d**k in it?” Solicitor Ed Hughes said his client entered a guilty plea and accepted responsibility in the matter. He handed a psychologist’s report into court, saying his client suffers from mental health and addiction issues.
