A man is in hospital after he was struck by a weapon in the Govan area on Thursday night. The attack happened at around 10pm on Thursday, September 25, in the the Whitefield Road area. The 28-year-old victim was approached by two other men, one of whom police say hit him with a weapon. The man was taken to hospital for treatment - his current condition remains unknown. The incident is now being treated as a serious assault, and enquiries are now ongoing to trace the two individuals responsible. Police urge witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch. Detective Sergeant Nicol McPherson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything to contact us. “We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3758 of Thursday, 25 September, 2025.
