Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man was sentenced this week for a felony conviction stemming from a juvenile prostitution sting investigation. A little over a year ago, Rochester police reported the arrest of 39-year-old Christian Alexander and identified him as one of four men who responded to a fake online ad posted on websites known to be used by individuals seeking to purchase sex. The criminal complaint in the case states that the ad claimed to be from a female offering sexual acts or services in exchange for money. Fake Online Ad Used to Target Suspected Sex Buyers Alexander was accused of initiating an online sexual conversation with an undercover officer and agreeing to meet at a business in Rochester for the purpose of purchasing sex. Rochester police reported that Alexander was arrested when he arrived at the meeting location. Earlier this year, Alexander entered a guilty plea to a charge of prostitution involving a person he reasonably believed to be under the age of 18. Judge Imposes Jail Time and Probation in Sentencing He has now been sentenced to 45 days in jail, with credit for the four days he has already spent in custody. Alexander was also placed on probation for five years and was given a stayed 26-month prison sentence that could be executed if he fails to meet the terms of his probation. More Minnesota News:
