A 19-year old man was found with a stab wound on the corner of Kitchener and Goulburn Streets in Broadmeadows at about 9.35pm on Saturday. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Police had been called to the scene following reports of a brawl nearby. Investigators understand a group of men, who were armed with machetes, were fighting on Cuthbert and Joffre Streets in the minutes prior. The group took off in vehicles before officers arrived, police say. No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the brawl is linked to the stabbing.
