DeWitt, N.Y. — A man was found dead Tuesday morning hanging from an overpass above the state Thruway in DeWitt, troopers said.
A number of people driving by posted online about seeing the body above the busy highway.
The man, 28, was found at about 8:20 a.m. on the bridge carrying Fly Road over the Thruway, according to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police.
The troopers’ preliminary findings are consistent with suicide, she said.
