A British YouTuber managed to jet off to a different continent from Manchester Airport on a cheap £30 Ryanair flight – and was amazed by what he found when he touched down. The popular content creator , boasting 31,200 followers on his Just Deano channel, began his travel adventure from Halifax before catching a train to Manchester Airport where he took off for Africa. He described the £30 one-way ticket to Marrakesh, Morocco, as a “bargain price” and revealed at the start of his video: “We are going to be exploring all the markets, all the street food and all that sort of thing. “This is my most uncomfortable adventure because I haven’t got a scooby doo what I’m going to be eating. I’m not sure there’s going to be Irish bars and full English breakfasts on this trip.” He continued: “I am going to Africa in just a backpack!” His Manchester departure was pushed back by an hour, though Deano stayed positive before finally getting on board for his three hour and 40 minute journey across continents. Two aspects caught his attention after touching down – firstly the stunning airport, and secondly, the rigorous immigration procedures. He said: “Well, we are here, Marrakesh airport, and let me tell you, it is pretty nice isn’t it? It is so so hot, it said 30 degrees but I am telling you now, it is like an oven this. “The airport is so fancy, and they are very very thorough on the way in like in immigration. They don’t just scan your passport, they ask you questions. They want to know where you are staying. “Some people are getting thumbs printed, I didn’t of course, but it is a beautiful airport.” Instead of joining the late-night bus queue like most passengers, Deano chose to take a taxi, setting him back £15. Upon reaching his riad, a traditional house or palace with an interior courtyard and garden, he shared that his stay was quite affordable. “Let me tell you,” he said after settling into his room. “I spent £134 for five nights so that’s 27 quid a night with breakfast included. “I don’t think that’s too bad to be fair. It’s not the Ritz I know but the location, there is a little backstreet, the location is literally on the main street of shopping and there’s a shop right next door. “What a day, all positive, nothing negative to say. I’m in Africa, let’s do this.” After sharing the video, which can be viewed in full here , one viewer commented: “That is a good deal, from London to Brighton cost £30 and to Manchester cost you arm and a leg.” Another chimed in: “Morocco is nice, just be careful with swindlers and pick pockets. The Morocco people are wonderful, the food is great, and there are beautiful places to visit.”
