West Midlands Police confirmed that Jashan Singh had been charged with murder following the incident at the car park near Phoenix Park in Wolverhampton on October 22. The incident saw Navpreet Singh taken to hospital with serious injuries at around 1.30am, but the 26-year-old was confirmed to have died at around 2.10am. Singh, 20, from Wolverhampton, will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today, while two other men aged 23 and 34 who were arrested on suspicion of murder have since been bailed pending further enquiries. A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We've charged a man with the murder of a father in Wolverhampton. "Jashan Singh was arrested in connection with the death of Navpreet Singh who was attacked in a car park off Dudley Road last week. "The 20-year-old from Wolverhampton has now been charged with murder. He has been remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (28 October). "Navpreet Singh, aged 26, was taken to hospital with serious injuries at around 1.30am last Wednesday (22 October). He was sadly confirmed dead at around 2.10am. "Our thoughts and support are with his family and friends at this devastating time. "Two other men, aged 23 and 34, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
