A MAN was attacked with a weapon in a brutal street assault. The victim, 28, was approached by two men on Whitefield Road in Govan, Glasgow, on Thursday night around 10pm. One of the suspects then hit him with the weapon. Emergency crews responded to the attack and the man was taken to hospital. Cops have now launched a hunt for the two suspects and have urged anyone with information to come forward. They have also called on any drivers who have dashcams and were in the area to get in touch with them, Detective Sergeant Nicol McPherson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything to contact us. “We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.” A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Officers are appealing for information following the serious assault of a man in Glasgow. “The incident happened around 10pm on Thursday, 25 September, 2025 in the Whitefield Road area of Govan, when a 28-year-old man was approached by two other men, one of whom struck him with a weapon. “The 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. “Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3758 of Thursday, 25 September, 2025. “Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
