A Gold Coast man is being questioned by police after allegedly hijacking a caravan and then crashing it with three children inside. The incident began at a property on the Gold Coast's fringes at 5.30pm yesterday, when a property owner got into an argument with a man known to him. The man allegedly then tied up a caravan to his car using straps, and driving it off the property. READ MORE: Bushfire warning as millions face catastrophic heat, winds Inside the caravan were three children not known to the man, all of whom were under the age of seven. However, the man did not get far, as he proceeded to crash the car and caravan after driving off the road and down an embankment. Paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene, where they assessed the condition of the children inside. The man was taken to hospital as a precaution, and was then taken to Broadbeach Police Station. 9news understands he is now being questioned by police.
