Malaysia’s High Court dismissed a government application aimed at preventing public discourse over jailed former Prime Minister Najib Razak ’s bid to serve house arrest, the New Straits Times reported.
Judge Alice Loke Yee Ching said that a gag order would not address any risk to the trial’s fairness, and that much had already been said in the public domain on the topic, according to the newspaper.
