It was also said that AEW president and CEO, Tony Khan, is hoping that Cole will be a part of his promotion for as long as possible. More News: Rumors of Top WWE Raw Star’s Punishment Dismissed by Insider Adam Cole’s Last Match Cole’s most recent professional wrestling match took place during the July 10 episode of “AEW Collision.” He teamed with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong of the Paragon to defeat Kyle Fletcher, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta of The Don Callis Family. Cole was scheduled to put the TNT Championship at stake against Fletcher at “All In: Texas,” but he vacated the title during the show and announced he isn’t cleared to perform. The former leader of The Undisputed Era in WWE has had a history of concussion issues. He suffered a concussion back in 2022 in a match against Samoa Joe at “Double or Nothing.” At “Forbidden Door” later that year, Cole was concussed once again in a four-way match that also featured Kazuchika Okada, “Hangman” Adam Page, and “Switchblade” Jay White. In an interview with Justin Barrasso the following year, Cole admitted he didn’t remember much from the four-way match. Cole said he saw a brain doctor three times a week following “Forbidden Door” and scored only a 38 on a brain test where athletes are expected to score 120. Had Cole’s score on the brain test been eight points lower, he wouldn’t have been legally allowed to drive. After following his doctor’s orders, Cole retook the test and earned a score of 160.
